JoyR1der
Delete your account
Conesworth Limited (New Zealand), trading as JoyR1der · Requests: legal@joyr1der.com
The quickest way is in the app. You can delete your JoyR1der account and the data
attached to it yourself, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, what we keep and for how
long. It summarises our
Privacy Policy, which applies if the two ever differ.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open JoyR1der and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- The app shows any Clicks or earnings that would be forfeited. Confirm it is you (with your password, or with Google or Apple) and tap Delete My Account.
Deletion is also available if your account is suspended, or if you decline updated terms.
2. If you earn on JoyR1der, there is a short hold
If you earn on JoyR1der (or have a sale still inside its refund period, a refund request open against you,
or one of your own still being decided), your account closes at once (hidden from everyone,
and you are signed out) and is deleted after a hold of at least 24 hours, longer if a refund
period on your sales ends later. During the hold we keep your account data and your funds so refunds can be
settled. To cancel, sign back in before it completes and tap Cancel the deletion.
3. What is deleted
- Your profile and sign-in credentials; your posts and content are hidden.
- Your name, email and note on any lead form you sent, and your account on every offer code you hold.
- Any ID-check proof documents you uploaded to our staff, and staff notes about your checks (we keep only the outcome and the date).
- Unspent Clicks and earnings that cannot be paid out are forfeited. The app shows you the amount and asks you to confirm first.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Messages you sent stay with the people you sent them to, shown as from “Deleted user”.
- Transaction, tax and moderation records (for example financial or ledger entries) are kept for as long as we are legally required to, and to resolve disputes and prevent fraud.
- Age-check audit record (method, age band, certainty, date) is kept to show our 18+ rule is enforced. A child-protection review, if there was one, is kept as a safety record.
- Your @username is held for 30 days so that only you can reclaim it (we keep your former user ID and a one-way hash of your sign-in email with the hold), then it is released.
- A one-way hash of the name and date of birth on an ID is deleted with the account, unless the account was banned: then it is kept with the ban record while the ban stands, and deleted if the ban is lifted.
- If our team is holding your earnings while it reviews your account (for example after a serious report), deletion waits until that review is finished.
The full list of retention periods is in section 10 of the Privacy Policy.
5. Delete some of your data and keep your account
You don't have to close your account to remove things. In the app you can:
- Delete a post, comment, recording or message you sent (in a direct message or a stream's chat): open it, tap its menu and choose Delete.
- Delete your stored location: Profile, then Settings, then Location, and turn location sharing off.
- Stop interest-based recommendations and ads: turn off “Personalise what I see” in Profile settings. We then stop using anything we have inferred about your interests.
To ask us to delete other data, email legal@joyr1der.com
from the email address on the account, with the subject “Data deletion request”, and say what you want deleted.
Records we must keep by law, such as transaction and tax records, are kept as described in section 4.
6. Cannot sign in, or want to ask by email?
Email legal@joyr1der.com from the
email address on the account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify that the request
comes from the account holder before we act, which may mean asking you to confirm a few details or to sign in.
We then respond within the time required by law. Please do not send passwords or ID documents by email.
